Sorry I was late getting this updated. Retakes on Ancient China will be on Friday. Students need to create a Tree Map of all of the notes from the Jigsaw Activity and a Circle Map of the notes on the Silk Road. (This was assigned on Wednesday.)

There are 3 retake requirements. 1) For the Old Kingdom notes: Create 3 different Thinking Maps, one for each section, 1 for rulers, 1 for religion, and 1 for pyramids. 2) For the Middle Kingdom/Egyptian Empire notes: write a summary 6-8 sentences using complete sentences. 3) For the New Kingdom/pharaohs: create trading cards for each pharaoh listing the important accomplishments of each pharaoh (spend your time on the accomplishments not the picture of the pharaoh, stick figures are ok).
Monday: Wrap from activities last week. Begin paragraphs analyzing primary source over the Dust Bowl.
Tuesday: Finish paragraphs from the Dust Bowl, edit using Source Rubric. Begin oral history of WWII with pictures.
Wednesday: Finish oral history of WWII. Begin note taking on the geography of India, note take and discussion.

*The retake for the previous test on the geography and social pyramid of ancient Egypt will be on Thursday of this week. The retake requirements are to draw a map of ancient Egypt with the Nile including all 4 of the natural barriers as well as an explanation of each, and write a summary paragraph about the social pyramid of ancient Egypt explaining each job and its level on the pyramid.
Monday: Computer Lab: taking a survey. Complete pharaoh powerpoints. Study for test on ancient Egypt on Friday. Test will cover the following topics: rulers, religion, and pyramids (Old Kingdom), Middle Kingdom (Egyptian Empire), and New Kingdom (pharaoh powerpoints). All notes are available on the notes and assignments page.
Tuesday: Students teach each other the information from their powerpoints. HW is to study for test on Friday.
Wednesday: Field trip to Organ Stop Pizza, no classes. HW is to study for test on Friday.

The retake requirements are to draw a map of ancient Egypt with the Nile including all 4 of the natural barriers as well as an explanation of each, and write a summary paragraph about the social pyramid of ancient Egypt explaining each job and its level on the pyramid.
Monday: Computer Lab: taking a survey. Complete pharaoh powerpoints. Study for test on ancient Egypt on Friday. Test will cover the following topics: rulers, religion, and pyramids (Old Kingdom), Middle Kingdom (Egyptian Empire), and New Kingdom (pharaoh powerpoints). All notes are available on the notes and assignments page.
Tuesday: Students teach each other the information from their powerpoints. HW is to study for test on Friday.
Wednesday: Field trip to Organ Stop Pizza, no classes. HW is to study for test on Friday.

The students may or may not have shared, but I have been out all week with sick kids so the web site has not been updated with my lesson plans. We are reading and note taking about the Middle Kingdom of ancient Egypt and the students are creating some notes for some of the notable pharaohs of the New Kingdom.

Tuesday: Complete Jigsaw Activity with note taking on rulers, religion, and pyramids (this activity may bleed into tomrrow). HW study for quiz over The Social Pyramid and the Geography of Egypt. Quiz will consist of a few essay questions. Notes are available on the notes and assignments page. Quiz will be on Thursday.
